Friendly place in a friendly town in a friendly country!

Written by  finnickytraveler, New York, USA

We stopped in Doolin for one night on probably the worst weather day of the year. We made it to the visitors center for the Cliffs of Moher. It was cold, rainy and even sleeted. So we were tired and cold when we arrived at this hostel. My four friends paid extra for the private room with its own bathroom. This is a hostel, which means laid back, but not luxury. The room was perfectly fine. We took advantage of the complimentary tea. Adva the innkeeper was very nice and recommended a place to eat and see local music. She recommended we take part in the once a month singing circle at the Kilshanny House. We had a car and after dinner took the 10 minute drive to the pub. We were truly lucky to be there for the monthly event. Adva has a beautiful voice so check her out when she sings!
