“I’ll be back” ?

Camped here many times with groups of kids and adults. Staff are always very friendly especially the owners Robert and Adva (hope I’ve spelled that correctly) Chilled sort of place, amazing location to explore the burren, cliffs of moher, best surfing, rock climbing and caving in ireland all a short drive away. As Arnie says “I’ll be back” ?

We were blown away with the warm welcome

We are just back from a 2 night family camping trip... 2 couples and 7 kids between us, we were blown away with the warm welcome we received, very clean facilities from toilets, shower and kitchen. We had full use of all facilities.. hopefully we will get more bookings throughout the summer because we will most definitely be returning.

Camping

Great hostel in centre of Doolin. We had great weather and decided to camp. Hiked along the cliffs of moher walk. ( option to get shuttle bus back if needed untill early evening about 6 pm i think? )
Very cosy and friendly hostel free wifi. Free clothes washing. Kitchen clean and well stocked with utensils. Also free coffee and tea.

We loved our time here

We loved our time here staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great atmosphere met some lovely people too who were also staying at this hostel. We camped out the back and got to use the amenities. Would recommend Aille river hostel to anyone staying here. Thanks.

Amazing Tipi Camping

We stayed for 5 nights in the tipi which is for hire at the hostel and we loved it! It's the perfect compromise when travelling on budget but wishing for some comfort, too. The tipi is very comfortable and spacious, it has a double bed (!), two chairs and a little table. Pillows and warm blanket are provided and they kept us warm even on a colder night. It's very easy to forget you are sleeping in a tent so don't be surprised if it gets a little noisy at windy and rainy nights.

The hostel is great. We loved the kitchen - it's huge and very well equipped. Everything was comfy and clean and it's easy to make yourself at home there. The staff (Kelly and Heloise) are very friendly and helpful, too.

We found the location perfect as a base for trips to the Cliffs of Moher (8 km from the hostel, overall a 16km hike in a very manageable terrain), the Burren or the Aran Islands. We couldn't wish for a better place to stay while exploring the western coast.
